Description

The Sahara rug is born from a contemporary reinterpretation of the Berber rugs of the desert’s nomadic tribes, upon which primitive, quick, and instinctive strokes have been drawn. Although not intended as purely decorative, the rug achieves a symbolic harmony that unites the space and creates a complete connection. The softness of the wool becomes a welcoming place to sit, exercise, or observe the outdoors from a new perspective. The Tantra rug is crafted using the handloom technique, where the weaving is done entirely by hand. Its geometric design, achieved by repeating a simple pattern memorized by the weaver, is reminiscent of the rigorous and meticulous decorations found in many Indian temples, where color is used formally.
